『九月下席～溫突』
強い勢いの雨が降ったり止んだりしている。
こういう日には外出しないのが、賢い大人の休日の過ごし方に相違ない。
･･･山手線に乗っている。
思っているほど賢くないのかもしれない。
新宿区にある韓国料理店に到着。
見れば屋外にまで行列が続いている様子。
とはいえ、先には二組が待つだけなので後ろに着いてみる。
やがて案内の従業員が「お二階へどうぞ」と店内ではなく、雨がそぼ降る野外を指差す。
外階段を傘を差しつつ移動する。
まずはと"생맥주"（センメクチュ）を。
突き出し6種（手前より時計回りにカクテキ、マカロニサラダ、煮玉子、白菜キムチ、もやしナムル、ブロッコリー白和え）
"김치 치즈 찌짐" （キムチチーズチヂミ）
"호박 오징어 볶음" （パンプキンとイカのポックム）
上記二品のどれもがうっかりとチーズ入りである。
続けて"참이슬"（チャミスル）を。
「2時間制」を理由として、18時に店を追い出され、雨の中の路地を移動。
狭い裏路地を歩いていると、日本語ではない言語が聞こえてくる。
「"오백 오백" （オベク、オベク）」
という"아줌마"（アジュンマ）の誘いに乗り、地階にある"노래방"（ノレバン）へ。
何がオベク（五百）かと云うと、室料が一時間で500円という。
ここでは、"녹차 하이" （緑茶ハイ）を。
アジュンマの運んで来たそれを口にした最初は「甘っ」と感じたが、実は焼酎量がかなり多めで、アルコヲル分の濃さゆえの甘さだったと知る。
四時間も日本語が通じない店の中で過ごして撤収。
早い時刻の山手線で帰ります。

Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”
